More than one month after the pairing was announced, No. 1 Auburn and No. 2 Oregon play for the BCS championship at 7:30 p.m. today in a game that will air on ESPN. The teams boast two of the most dynamic offenses in the nation: Auburn’s led by Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Cam Newton and Oregon’s led by NCAA rushing leader LaMichael James. The Tigers carry a 13-0 record, the Southeastern Conference championship and the weight of a fan base hungry for its first national title since 1957.
