Gov. Bobby Jindal has appointed five new members to the Southern University Board of Supervisors. The appointees represent five of the state’s congressional districts. Members are: Richard Caiton of Metairie, an assistant with the Jefferson Parish School system; Eamon Kelly of New Orleans, who spent 17 years as Tulane University president; Calvin Braxton of Natchitoches, president of the Braxton Land Co. and Natchitoches Ford-Lincoln-Mercury; Willie Hendricks of Simsboro, mayor of the village; and Sam Tolbert of Lake Charles, pastor of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church.
