Donnie Jarreau Real Estate is moving out of its office building at 10604 Coursey Blvd. and will be splitting its four divisions among three new locations.
The firm’s commercial real estate division and development division will both relocate to the 60,000-square-foot Southdowns Shopping Center on Perkins Road, which Jarreau has owned and managed for nearly 10 years. There, they will lease the 3,000-square-foot space formerly jointly occupied by Monochrome and Dwayne Carruth Architecture, both of which moved last year to the shared creative space 1010 Nic on Nicholson Drive.
Jarreau’s property management division and residential real estate division will each move to separate new offices. Lease agreements for those new spaces are still being finalized.
Splitting the company among three different locations makes more sense than it might seem, says CEO Donnie Jarreau. Each division has somewhat different ownership, and each operates as an independent company.
“It makes sense for us,” he says. “We have four different companies and we have outgrown our space on Coursey, so we decided to split up the office.”
The firm’s existing 5,600-square-foot space on Coursey Boulevard will be leased by a pharmaceutical company, Avita Pharmacy.
Meanwhile, Jarreau says he has tenants lined up for Southdowns Shopping Center to replace Thai Kitchen, which relocated earlier this year, and Smoothie King, which will be moving down the street to Acadian Perkins Plaza later this spring. Jarreau says a “nice restaurant” will be taking over the Thai Kitchen space, while a smaller restaurant will be moving into Smoothie King’s location.
