IberiaBank completes acquisition of Omni, Cameron

IberiaBank has completed its acquisitions of Omni Bank and Cameron State Bank, moves that will beef up the company’s presence in New Orleans and Lake Charles. The Lafayette-based bank completed its purchase of the two banks after the close of business Tuesday. Omni shareholders got about $41 million worth of IberiaBank stock, and the company agreed to assume $24 million in debt. Cameron State shareholders got about $140 million worth of IberiaBank stock. Over the next few weeks, branches and operating systems will be converted to IberiaBank. James M. Hudson, Omni chairman and CEO, and Roy M. Raftery Jr., Cameron State president and CEO, will become IberiaBank regional chairmen.
