How to keep things running like clockwork when you’re traveling

Rare is the executive who doesn’t sneak in at least a bit of work while they’re traveling. If you must do it, Inc. magazine offers a few best practices.

First, set clear boundaries and expectations before you leave. Don’t just make clear when you will be available; also share when you won’t be. Otherwise, your important family vacation may be peppered with work calls and surprise emails.

Also, Inc. columnist Stephen Hockley writes, ask yourself if you really need to keep things running yourself. What can be delegated, and what can be pushed back and rescheduled?
