Hotel Indigo, downtown Baton Rouge’s newest lodging option, is undergoing inspection in preparation for an expected opening later today. The 93-room hotel is located at the corner of Convention and Lafayette streets. Hotel Indigo, part of the giant InterContinental Hotels Group that includes Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, will employ between 50 and 60 people. The property had been the Hotel King before a $25 million renovation that started in September 2009. The hotel features such amenities as wireless Internet access in every room and a bistro featuring fresh produce and locally grown foods.
