U.S. Representative Bill Cassidy and Secretary of Health & Hospitals Bruce Greenstein will join home health care providers, caregivers and family members on Monday to discuss the value of home care services in the state as well as plans for improving services to meet the growing needs of Louisiana’s seniors. The event, which will also feature representatives from Amedisys, LHC Group and Home Care Association of Louisiana, among others, will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Old Governor’s Mansion. Policy discussions with potential impacts to the delivery of home health care are under way in Washington, D.C., and the home health industry is on the offensive to promote home health as clinically advanced, cost-effective and patient preferred.
