Holly Clegg to be honored with Grace ‘Mama’ Marino Lifetime Achievement Award

Acclaimed Baton Rouge author and chef Holly Clegg has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Grace “Mama” Marino Lifetime Achievement Award by the Baton Rouge Epicurean Society.

Clegg will be honored with the award at a banquet set for Thursday, Aug. 25, at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. The epicurean society announced Clegg as this year’s honoree earlier today.

“Holly Clegg has always made it her goal to improve our community’s overall health and well-being on such topics as cancer recovery and diabetes via her cookbooks, national TV appearances, Omni Channel Health Media, WebMD, Huffington Post, The Daily Meal, and Diabetes Influencers, while also partnering with local organizations such as Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center,” reads a statement from the society. “Holly has been tireless in the pursuit of a better, healthier life, and we salute her.”

Also known as the “Queen of Quick,” Clegg has sold over 1 million cookbooks over her career and is nationally recognized as a healthy culinary expert. The lifetime achievement award banquet is annually held in conjunction with Féte Rouge, which takes place Aug. 25-26. Tickets for the award banquet are $200 each, with tables of eight available.
