The Hampton Inn and Suites at 11271 Reiger Road is under new ownership.
Baton Rouge HPA, a limited liability company owned by Texas-based investor William G. Copeland, has acquired the property for $9.65 million from South Baton Rouge Hotel LLC, which is owned by G. Murphy Anderson II of Shreveport and Frank Benoit of Baton Rouge. The sale closed Tuesday, according to records filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office. Anderson and Benoit developed the three-story hotel in 2007. It opened in January 2008 and has 101 guest rooms.
Copeland financed the acquisition with a $6.7 million loan from Whitney National Bank, according to court documents. His plans for the property are unclear. Neither buyer nor seller could be reached for comment in time for publication.
