The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has formed an alliance with a group of safety engineers to promote workplace safety in the petrochemical and construction industries around Baton Rouge. The agreement with the American Society of Safety Engineers will focus on the prevention of such hazards as falls, combustible dusts and struck-by hazards and other safety issues.
