Gonzales business park on the market

Two 13,600-square-foot office/warehouse units are for sale in Gonzales. Bobby Smith, an agent with NAI/Latter & Blum, says he’s marketing the buildings in the Commerce Pointe Business Park to petrochemical service companies and for use as distribution centers. The buildings feature 12,000 square feet of warehouse space and 1,600 square feet of office. The buildings are going for $8 per square foot, Smith says. Plans are to build 17 units in Commerce Park on La. 30, between Interstate 10 and La. 73. So far, five spec units have been sold to investors. “The economy has changed, so they’re not selling as rapidly as we would like,” Smith says.—Timothy Boone
