White Marlin Midstream LLC bought a 49-acre gas plant and a pipeline system near Central for $1,000 and “other good and valuable consideration,” according to documents filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court.

White Marlin purchased the property from Arrowhead Louisiana Pipeline LLC and Harvest Midstream LP.

Harvest Midstream, an affiliate of Hilcorp Energy Company, lists the Comite Plant on its website as one of three properties the company operates in the state.

The pipeline system includes seven abandoned pipelines and five active ones that connect the plant to gas wells in the area, according to the sale documents.

According to the tax assessor’s website, the property was most recently assessed at $52,850, implying a value of $528,500.

White Marlin was part of a merger earlier this summer, which combined Arrow Rock, Petro Harvester and White Marlin into one oil exploration and production company, Rockall Energy. The Comite Plant will be one of 16 properties Rockall Energy operates in the state.

Representatives from White Marlin Midstream, Arrowhead Louisiana Pipeline and Harvest Midstream were unable to be reached for more details before this afternoon’s deadline.
