Galatoire’s, the legendary French Quarter restaurant that has a bistro on Highland Road, is on the verge of changing hands. The Times-Picayune reports a new ownership group, including the restaurant’s chief operating officer and a manager, are nearing a deal to buy the 104-year-old restaurant from the Galatoire family. “It’s staying local,” says Sally Breithoff, chairwoman of the restaurant’s board of managers.
