Rebecca Breeden, former 225 magazine assistant managing editor, died this morning after a two-year battle with cancer. A native of Pride, Breeden joined Louisiana Business Inc. in 2006 and left three years later to move to New York, where she worked on the National September 11 Memorial. “We lost a world-changer today,” writes 225 Editor Tom Guarisco in a memorial piece you can read here. “Rebecca was a beam of light, an agent for change. With poise, compassion and effortless Southern charm, she challenged all of us to be better leaders, better friends, better parents, better people. Her years may have been cut short by cancer, but she affected and changed the world and made it a better place.”
