BATON ROUGE (AP) — Louisiana residents and visitors can take advantage of the state’s outdoor recreational opportunities this weekend for free.

The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says a recreational fishing license for anglers 16 years old and older will not be needed this Saturday or Sunday.

In addition, the Office of State Parks is offering on Saturday open day-use access to all facilities, including picnic areas, hiking trails, fishing piers and boat ramps.
