In a brief message sent to parents and the media today, the Parkview Baptist School Board of Directors announced Melanie Ezell is no longer headmaster after more than five years at the helm. Officials are not commenting on the nature of Ezell’s departure, but are confirming board President Will Williams will serve as headmaster until an interim is named. Board Vice President Huey Beason, meanwhile, will serve as acting board president while Williams oversees school operations. “She was responsible for many positive changes at Parkview during her tenure,” reads a statement from the board. “Dr. Ezell was critical in establishing the current leadership structure at the school. She oversaw the restructuring of employee benefit plans and successfully led Parkview through its most recent SAIS/SACS accreditation. Parkview Baptist Church and School is grateful to Dr. Ezell for her years of service as headmaster.” You can read the full statement for yourself here.
