For Louisianans, Community Coffee needs no introduction. For more than 90 years, the “state coffee of Louisiana” has been a fixture in restaurants, homes and public events. And for four generations, the Saurage family has driven the empire. Henry Norman “Cap” Saurage founded the company on the strength of coffee he brewed in a Baton Rouge country store. Today, Matt Saurage carries on the family, and Louisiana, tradition. Saurage says he enjoys the challenge of leadership and gets satisfaction from watching others succeed at Community Coffee Co.

Who’s responsible for brewing the office coffee? And what flavor rules the day in the Community office?
Well, it’s about the same as any other office; we are all expected to make sure there’s fresh coffee brewed throughout the day. We brew Dark Roast, Café Special and House Blend, daily. We also have a stocked espresso bar, so lattes and Mochassippi beverages are always available!
