Jude Melville, CEO of Business First Bank, has an impressive pedigree: He graduated from Harvard and received a master’s degree from the London School of Economics before helping start Business First Bank seven years ago. The Bossier City native also distinguished himself during six years in the military, working in logistics at the Pentagon and in the Middle East. Melville assumed leadership of the bank this spring, and enjoys his downtime with wife Amy and young daughters Caroline and Emma, whom he calls “women in training.” Read the full Q&A here. What is the greatest personal or professional obstacle you’ve overcome?
“I’ve been blessed with a low-obstacled life. More than my fair share of opportunities. Obviously opening and operating a financial institution during a global economic crisis has not always been easy, but we are already benefiting from the lessons learned.”
