Prairieville native Daniel Lewis is at the forefront of the motion-picture industry in Baton Rouge. Lewis is a producer and chief operating officer at Active Entertainment, which has had several productions picked up by the SyFy Channel. The company recently moved its base of operations from Lafayette to Celtic Media Centre. For Lewis, the move helps accomplish two goals: Not only does it bring Baton Rouge into the film-making mix along with Lafayette and New Orleans, but it also allows him to pursue his dreams near his roots. With Active Entertainment, he hopes to build “an industry that will not only bring people to our state, but also give our children opportunities to follow their dreams in this industry without having to leave the state.” Read the full Q&A with here.
