BATON ROUGE (AP) — With 10 new members aboard, the 11-member state Board of Ethics faces a lengthy agenda.
The board on Wednesday was set to consider dozens of items including consideration of alleged ethics violations by state officials and requests for opinions on various issues involving the state ethics code.
One reason for the backlog: Board members have been getting up to speed on their new jobs. Most of the current board members were appointed in the fall to replace 10 who resigned in the spring and summer.
