Entergy Corp. says its first-quarter profit slid 24% on higher expenses and lower production, and reaffirmed its full-year earnings outlook. Quarterly earnings fell to $235.3 million, or $1.20 per share, compared with $308.7 million, or $1.56 per share during the same period last year. The company attributed its profit decline primarily to taxes not related to income, depreciation and amortization expenses in its Utility, Parent & Other segment, and lower production and investment impairments from its nuclear segment.
