Gene Todaro just opened his wine bar in the old Southdowns Lounge location, but Enoteca Marcello’s won’t begin serving food until next week, most likely Tuesday. Enoteca is Italian for “wine library” and describes a type of regional shop where people can buy and taste wines. Much like The Grape in Perkins Rowe, you can pick out a bottle of wine in the shop, and have it with your dinner at retail price. Enoteca’s is already filling up for private parties. Book yours today by calling 379-7662. The place opens at 4 p.m. until, with lunch hours to come soon.
