The Baton Rouge Classic Charity Game on Dec. 11 has been canceled as a result of the end of the NBA lockout. The foundations of Baton Rouge natives and former LSU basketball greats Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Tyrus Thomas were hosting the game, which was to feature NBA players Marcus Thornton, Brandon Bass, Rudy Gay, Danny Granger, Stephen Jackson, Joakim Noah and Stephen Curry. The shortened 66-game NBA season is to begin on Dec. 25. “We want to still do the game for the community, so we are looking at dates in July,” says Davis in a release.
