Use The 32,576-square-foot building with broad, clean, geometric lines designed to convey an agency “at the ready” houses municipal emergency response but also serves as a disaster command center, training facility and maintenance facility. A second-floor “war room” overlooks a two-story, light-filled lobby where public presentations are hosted.
“This building had to meet all the functional goals of EMS in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner while elevating the experience of the building to express the nature of the agency it houses. The building reflects the fact that EMS is always at the ready to protect our citizens, and that EMS is dependable, efficient, forward-thinking and trustworthy.”
