Earl K. Long Medical Center and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center were ranked as the best hospitals in metro Baton Rouge by U.S. News & World Report. The magazine ranked the best hospitals in the country’s 94 largest metro areas by looking at performance in specialties ranging from cardiology to urology. U.S. News says several factors determined performance, including reputation, patient survival, patient safety, and care-related factors such as nursing and patient services. Earl K. Long and OLOL were singled out as being high performers in ear, nose and throat medicine. Ochsner Medical Center and Tulane University Hospital and Clinic were rated as the two best hospitals in metro New Orleans. To see the full list, click here.
