$6M grant awarded for Jones Creek flood mitigation project

Gov. John Bel Edwards on Thursday announced $34 million in federal funding for 13 flood risk reduction projects. Of that $34 million, East Baton Rouge Parish will receive $6 million for the Jones Creek Detention Project. The city-parish has committed $3.27 million in additional funding being awarded from for the total project cost of $9.27
