Sales and use taxes were up 7.37% in the city-parish of East Baton Rouge in March 2012, compared to the same month last year. Year-to-date collections are up 7.49%. Year-to-date collections are up 5.58% in the city and 9.08% in the parish outside the city. The numbers come from a monthly report of recurring sales and use tax collections used by city-parish officials for revenue forecasting. Read the report here.
