DSLD homes will soon begin the permitting process for construction of 23 more homes in the Redwood Lake subdivision in Zachary, after purchasing the lots from developer First Horizon, Inc. for $897,000.

“Over the next five to six months we’ll pull permits and start construction. Houses should take about 120 days to finish,” says DSLD CFO Jeffery Purpera.

The homes are priced between $160,000 and $190,000, with living areas between 1,350 and 1,850 square feet. The construction is a part of Redwood’s second filing. DSLD has 14 houses currently under construction in the neighborhood, and four are in the permitting process. Over the past two years, DSLD has sold 40 houses in the neighborhood, and 12 more are currently under contract.

The warehouse is 33,460 square feet and sits on nearly 4 acres. Andolsek says Domino’s will continue leasing the space, which Levert bought as an investment property. “There’s not too much out there for sale,” Andolsek says. “It was opportunity and we took it.”
