Diversifying its energy sector would put Louisiana in position to lead, Pierson says

While the oil and gas industry isn’t going away, major automakers’ shift toward electric vehicles shows why Louisiana needs to diversify its energy sector, Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Don Pierson says.  Petroleum and natural gas will continue to be important for plastics and advanced chemicals used in numerous consumer goods. But the transition toward less
