The Café Roux building on Sullivan Road in Central has been sold for $540,000, and a Louis DeAngelo’s Casual Italian restaurant is set to move into the space. A partnership of DeAngelo, Mike Breaux, Charlie Kinsley and John O’Hearin bought the building from Rick Bennett in a deal that closed Thursday. Plans are to open the restaurant by early September, about a month before DeAngelo’s marks its 20th anniversary. The Central DeAngelo’s will feature favorites such as specialty pizza, salads and fresh pasta, along with new dishes being developed by Executive Chef Michael Dardenne. DeAngelo’s has five locations in the Capital Region; in addition, DeAngelo has partnered with Mike Wampold in creating Zolia, a new restaurant under construction in the II City Plaza building downtown.
