A trial program at the Baton Rouge City Jail to clear up a backlog of outstanding misdemeanor warrants has led to long lines at City Court and District Court. Nearly 2,100 people headed to court Friday to clear up old warrants before the jail opened up for the trial program. An East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman says the crowd today was bigger than Friday’s.
