Country music up-and-comer Stephen Cochran will return to Hammond – which he refers to as his “second home” – Thursday and Friday to shoot a video for his latest single, “Wal-Mart Flowers.” He’ll use Chevy’s Niteclub as the backdrop for the mini-flick. “I couldn’t be more excited about this video shoot,” Cochran says. “The folks in Hammond and all around the region are like family to me and have been some of my biggest supporters and fans over the past year. And a Chevy’s crowd is the perfect ‘cast’ for this great new video.” There will be a closed-door shoot on Thursday, followed by an open-to-the-public shoot on Friday. The public will play part of “the rowdy crowd” in the so-called “live” portion of the video. Cochran hails from Nashville, but his longtime manager, Barbara Farkas, is a lifelond Hammond resident. The singer is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and recently returned from a tour of military facilities in the Middle East. “Wal-Mart Flowers” was released on Monday.
