Baton Rouge-based Core Health Networks is expanding its footprint locally by doubling its presence on Office Park Boulevard, and has its sights on international growth by opening new offices in Canada and the Middle East by the end of 2017.
Managing Partner Chad Scott says the firm’s global expansion will help it better service international clients, some of which are American-based companies with operations in other countries.
CHN—one of the companies under the Core Occupational Medicine umbrella—offers integrated occupational medicine programs to businesses. Founded in 2008, CHN has a network of 3,500 clinics nationwide and nearly 400 employees.
The company says consistent growth in its client base and increased demand for injury management services is driving the expansion at home and abroad.
“We’re always looking at opportunities for growth,” Scott says. We’ve seen exponential growth in the last year.”
CHN—one of the 2016 LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses—is working out the legalities of its international expansion. Scott says opening an office in Canada was a logical step and provides a gateway for the firm to expand into the Middle East.
He says CHN has already identified at least 10 existing clients with a presence in Canada that could immediately utilize its services. The firm would offer injury management services and embed clinics at client job sites across Canada. Plans for the Middle East office are in the early stages, he says.
Once complete, the international expansion would increase CHN’s employee base beyond 400 workers.
At home in Baton Rouge, CHN is expanding the 24/7/365 TimeZero Injury Management Call Center at its location at 7884 Office Park Blvd., bringing its total footprint to 10,000 square feet from roughly 5,000 square feet. Scott says the firm will expand by taking over additional space in the office building. The firm plans to renovate the space and move into it by June 1.
