A former automotive repair shop located at 7836 Reco Ave. near the Airline Highway-Greenwell Springs Road intersection sold on March 18 for $821,000.
The seller of the property and site, Parish Rico LLC, was represented by Mathew Laborde and Paul Dominique at Beau Box Commercial Real Estate. The new owner, 7836 Reco Ave. LLC, was represented by David Vercher with Keller Williams Commercial Real Estate.
The facility, which sold for $35 per square foot, was previously rented by VSE Corp., which operated the automotive repair facility and eventually vacated the building. Once the corporation left, Parish Rico decided to sell the property.
The facility is 23,467 square feet, of which 2,500 square feet had been used for office space. The remaining 20,967 square feet was used for shop/warehouse space. The building occupied a 15,000-square-foot paved site.
It had been listed for $900,000 prior to the sale. According to sources close to the transaction, the new owner has a tenant that will occupy the building and negotiated the sale based upon the building meeting the new tenant’s needs.
