Custom Holdings, the Thibodaux-based parent company of Custom Healthcare and Gulf Coast Rehab Equipment, has been acquired by Connecticut-based ATG Rehab, the firms announced today. ATG Rehab says it will continue to sell rehabilitation equipment and provide repair services at Custom Healthcare and Gulf Coast Rehab Equipment stores in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe, Shreveport and Thibodaux, as well as others in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. The acquisition adds 13 offices serving more than 6,500 clients to ATG Rehab’s holdings. “Custom Healthcare and Gulf Coast Rehab’s operating philosophy parallels that of ATG Rehab, which makes this transition seamless for the clients, clinicians and complex rehab facilities we serve in the Gulf Coast region,” says James Hartman, Custom Holdings vice president of business development, in a prepared statement. ATG Rehab is the leading rehab equipment provider of wheelchairs and mobility equipment in North America, with locations coast-to-coast. Established in 1999, ATG Rehab has expanded to over 53 offices servicing 30 states.
