Baton Rouge-based Community Coffee has inked a multiyear licensing, manufacturing and distribution agreement with Keurig Green Mountain to begin offering single-serving Community Coffee K-Cup packs next spring and further expand its product offerings thereafter. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed by the companies, which issued a joint press release on the deal today.
Following next year’s K-Cups launch, Keurig says Community Coffee will also eventually be sold in its K-Carafe and Bolt packs, as well as for its Keurig 2.0 and BOLT Carafe brewing systems. Keurig will also begin selling Community Coffee products on its website and at its company store in Burlington, Massachusetts.
“Partnering with Keurig allows us to further extend our products in a format that is highly desired by consumers, and we are very excited about this opportunity,” says Community Coffee President and CEO David Belanger in a press release, adding the announcement comes as the company is experiencing “explosive growth.”
Although Community Coffee began making its own single-serve cups that could be used in Keurig machines last spring, the deal announced today means that all the Community Coffee products marked with the Keurig seal in the future will indicate they’ve passed the company’s own quality and taste tests.
