Baton Rouge-based Cocreham Brick and Stone Inc. is selling a majority interest of its business to Kris Klar and Steven Cheatham, the two purchasers announced today.

Klar is the owner of STONE, which opened in 2009 and provides high-end custom countertops, flooring and interiors. Cheatham is an owner of Cajun Ready Mix, a concrete supplier. The two say they plan to leverage their established presence in the construction industry to support the continued growth of Cocreham Brick.

Founded in 1950, Corcreham is the oldest provider of bricks products throughout the Baton Rouge area. Following the sale, the Cocreham Brick stone yard is moving to STONE’s Airline Highway location to allow additional space for more inventory. Cocreham Brick will continue to operate out of its Beaumont Drive location until April, when the move is expected to be completed.
