CJ Brown has sold its Airline Highway office to a Baton Rouge firm for $1.2 million, according to sales documents, and has moved to a new office off Sherwood Forest Boulevard.
Shelley Simmons, a managing broker for CJ Brown, says the sale was prompted by the growth of the number of real estate agents in the company. Part of the company’s model is to ensure each real estate agent has a space to work. While the 6,300-square-foot Airline Highway office could accommodate 28 agents, the new office on Lake Sherwood Avenue can accommodate up to 45 agents.
The new office, designed by Paul Burns, was built to accommodate a real estate company, making the space a good fit for what CJ Brown was looking for, Simmons says.
JMB&J Property LLC, represented by John H. Stinson III, purchased the 1.27-acre property. Stinson is the CEO and president of TEI Software Development.
