Proposals from the three firms hoping to update the East Baton Rouge Parish comprehensive master plan are due Monday, with a public interview scheduled for April 2, planning director Troy Bunch says. Fregonese Associates, Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin and HNTB are the finalists. The three teams will make presentations to the city-parish advisory committee starting at 9 a.m. on April 2 at the Manship Theatre, and the advisory committee will make a recommendation to the mayor. The public will not be able to ask questions at the presentation, but Bunch plans to set up a link for submitting questions on the Planning Commission Web site. Information about the comprehensive plan update is now available here. The selected consultant will work with the planning staff on land use, infrastructure, community services, growth management and quality-of-life issues.—David Jacobs
