Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., the parent company of Circle K Stores, has reached a deal to acquire 33 ExxonMobil On the Run convenience stores in south Louisiana. Terms of the deal, including the price, were not disclosed; but the affected stores include some doing business in Baton Rouge. The stations will continue to sell ExxonMobil fuel and accept ExxonMobil credit cards. Once the deal is completed in December, pending regulatory approval, Circle K will have 318 company-operated stores in the Gulf South. “These stores are located on highly visible and well-traveled roads and occupy strategic locations within their respective trade areas. Strategically, this acquisition would be a complement to our expansion and growth plans for the Gulf Division,” says Jason Broussard, vice president of operations for Circle K’s Gulf Division.
