CellControl, a local company that has developed a product to block mobile devices in cars, has received certification to sell its products in Europe. The company received a blessing from the Vehicle Certification Agency, assuring that its products do not interfere with automobile electronics and that they operate with multiple vehicle systems. The certification is required to sell products in the European Union and is one step toward making CellControl the global standard for distracted driving technology. CellControl, based in the Louisiana Technology Park, has signed international distribution agreements with The Chameleon Group, which is a UK-based European network of automotive equipment suppliers, and with JCA Fleet Services, which provides driver safety, mobile and vehicle technology to customers in Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
