The Woodlands, Texas-based CB&I may lay off as many as 90 workers in Delcambre by the end of the week, The Advertiser reports.

CB&I, which sold its Capital Services Division in Baton Rouge last spring for $755 million, notified the Louisiana Workforce Commission about the pending layoffs on July 21, with Oct. 15 listed as the date on which workers would be let go.

The company filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, a labor law that protects communities facing large numbers of layoffs due to a variety of situations. LWC used to issued news releases about WARN notices, but now just posts them to its website, The Advertiser reports. Some workers have already found other employment.
