Captain D’s, a fast casual seafood restaurant, announced today that it plans to expand its presence in Louisiana with the opening of a new corporate location in Denham Springs at the end of this year. The location has not yet been disclosed.
The Nashville, Tennessee-based chain also plans to have a presence at the Louisiana Foodservice & Hospitality Expo this weekend to search for more prospective franchisees.
“Captain D’s has been experiencing tremendous growth this year, with a handful of new restaurant openings and franchise agreements to bring Captain D’s to cities nationwide,” says Michael Arrowsmith, chief development officer at Captain D’s, in a statement. “In addition to the corporate growth we have planned over the next several years, we’re also seeking qualified candidates in Louisiana to expand the company’s presence to help us reach our long-term goal of opening 15-20 new Captain D’s locations in the market.”
The restaurant chain announced last August that it planned to enter the Baton Rouge market and establish its first location over the course of a year or so.
Arrowsmith told Daily Report at the time that the restaurant’s long-term goal is to open as many as 10 to 15 restaurants in the greater Baton Rouge area. Captain D’s currently has seven locations throughout Louisiana.
