Capital Region foreclosure activity down in September but up from a year ago

The number of properties in the Capital Region facing foreclosure action in September was down about 33% compared to August but up more than 97% compared to the same month last year. Nationally, filings were down 8% from August but up 62% compared to September 2021, as the level of foreclosure activity approaches pre-COVID norms.
