Adults Swim’s “Rickmobile”—a large, drooling scientist-shaped car based off animated series Rick and Morty—will be rolling into downtown Baton Rouge this afternoon as a part of the vehicle’s nationwide tour.
Shaped like the vulgarity-slinging alcoholic main character Rick Sanchez, the Rickmobile operates as a pop-up shop with specialty items inspired from the show, an animated parody of Back to the Future that airs on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim program block.
The Rickmobile, which Adult Swim touts as the “world’s largest Rick,” will be parked at Tin Roof Brewing Co. from 5 to 8 p.m. Baton Rouge is Rick’s latest stop a nationwide tour launched last week in honor of the show being picked up for 70 additional episodes.
Rick and Morty was named the top-rated comedy on television in the 18 to 34 demographic, and its popularity led McDonald’s to rerelease its discontinued Szechuan Sauce after the show made a jab at the chain in a 2017 episode.
