C.J. Brown Realtors and NAI/Latter & Blum are expanding their operations into the southwest Louisiana market through a merger that closed this morning with Lake Charles-based commercial brokerage firm NAI Lake Charles. Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.

“The addition of our Lake Charles commercial firm will provide our Baton Rouge agents with more residential and commercial referral opportunities, while effectively addressing the need to maintain a high level of service for our clients,” says Latter & Blum President Rick Haase in a prepared statement.

C.J. Brown is a residential real estate firm based in Baton Rouge that is owned by Latter & Blum, which is a privately held real estate brokerage with offices in Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lafayette and New Orleans. All are part of the NAI Global Network, which is a commercial real estate network with more than 350 offices worldwide.

“Our merger uniquely positions NAI/Latter & Blum as the only privately held commercial brokerage with a regional network extending from central to southwest Louisiana and across the entire Louisiana Gulf Coast,” Bob Merrick, chairman and CEO of Latter & Blum, says in the release. “This important development allows our agents to serve the commercial needs of our clients more effectively in the wake of an unprecedented industrial expansion underway in Louisiana.”
