Wednesday — A 2011 legislative roundtable will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Red Cross offices. The event, sponsored by Louisiana Citizens for Action Now and Louisiana Together Educating All Children, will discuss the organization’s agenda for the upcoming year and how to be an advocate for people with developmental disabilities. Wednesday — The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry will hold its annual meeting at Crowne Plaza. The event will feature a morning session at 10:30 a.m. on the state budget, with participants including Paul Rainwater, commissioner of administration, and Rep. Jim Fannin, chair of the House Appropriations Committee. The luncheon meeting will be held at noon. Scott Rasmussen, of Rasmussen Reports, a national politicial polling firm, will be the keynote speaker. Gov. Bobby Jindal will also speak at the luncheon.
Thursday — A “Race and Gravy” community forum will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. The event is sponsored by Leadership Greater Baton Rouge Alumni and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
