Tuesday: A pair of town hall meetings will be held at the St. George Fire Protection District headquarters, 14100 Airline Highway, to provide a project update on the Pecue Lane and Interstate 10 interchange construction. Meetings will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., and from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Representatives from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will be joined by officials overseeing the city-parish Green Light Plan for roadway improvements, as well as members of the local congressional delegation.
Thursday: The Pelican Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors hosts the 2015 Annual Craft Competition, at which area students selected by the school’s instructors will showcase their skills in categories including industrial electrical, instrument fitter, millwright, pipefitting, pipe welding and plate welding. The winner of each category will move on to represent the chapter in the ABC National Craft Competition held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in March.
