Monday: Together Baton Rouge will host a “We the People” meeting for residents of Metro Council districts 7 and 11 at 6 p.m. at St. Mary Baptist Church, 1252 N. Acadian Thruway. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss priorities for the city-parish and those districts, including responses to the flooding crisis, police reform and health care, among other issues. Tuesday: LSU Executive Education’s Breakfast to Business series will host “Prepare for the New Wave of Employment Law Litigation” from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in room 1225 of the LSU Business Education Complex. This event will provide registrants with guidance on addressing Fair Labor Standards Act employment issues. Thomas Kiggans, partner at Phelps Dunbar, will present this module. Sept. 13: Anne Donovan, the U.S. Human Capital Transformation Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers, will speak as part of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s monthly Signature Speaker series. Donovan’s remarks will focus on generational differences in the workplace. The event will be held at the Cook Hotel and Conference Center at LSU, 3848 W.
