‘Business Report’ planner: Roy Fletcher talks runoff elections at Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon … SME-Greater Baton Rouge hosts Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards banquet … BREW returns for fifth year next week

Tuesday: Roy Fletcher, pollster and political adviser for Public Service Commissioner Scott Angelle, will talk about the Nov. 21 runoff elections as guest speaker of the Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon. The meeting begins with an 11:30 a.m. reception at Café Amércain, 7521 Jefferson Highway, with the luncheon presentation to begin at noon. Lunch is $17, payable to the restaurant. The luncheon is sponsored by the Republican Party of East Baton Rouge Parish.

Thursday: Sales and Marketing Executives-Greater Baton Rouge hosts its annual banquet to honor its Excellence in Sales & Marketing Award winners at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel, 777 L’Auberge Ave. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with dinner and awards and presentation at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free for SME members; $75 for guests. Nov. 16-22: Now in its fifth year, Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week returns next week with a number of familiar events as well as some new ones. Held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, the local BREW events include a mix of pitch competitions, national keynote addresses, educational programs, panel discussions, networking events and opportunities for angel investors to see new businesses.
